Office design is changing in response to COVID. Should we go beyond “de-densification”, 6' circles, and hand sanitizer stations and embrace a new metaphor? Perhaps the place to start is the library.

A Pause and a Fresh Start
The past year effectively paused a continuous span of office space design that started in 1726 with The Old Admiralty Office in London, built to serve the workers required to process navy paperwork. In the absence of prior examples…
